I have had several inquiries from curious folks like yourself wondering how I got started domaining and how I was able to put myself on the path to financial freedom through domain development.

So here is a brief background on me…..

I launched my first Internet company while I was in college in 1998. The company was acquired by a publicly traded firm in 1999 (ahhh, those were the days). I then helped raise over $5 million in venture capital and launched a second Internet company in 1999. We had a good run, but the dot com crash got the best of us and the company filed for bankruptcy in 2001. I then got my MBA and went to work for a large investment bank covering Internet companies in New York City. It was during this time that I learned the power of domain names. I fell in love with the lifestyle and the economics of the industry so much that I actually quit my six figure job to start ‘Domaining’ full time. Hard to believe, but its true!

My banker friends told me I was crazy. But now they’re all jealous. Most are laid off. Those that still have jobs don’t make the big bucks anymore. And while their industry hurtles towards nationalization, I travel the world, work at my leisure, and wake up without an alarm clock.

But it wasn’t always this easy. When I first started Domaining my success was doubtful. I picked up some profitable ‘type-in’ gems in the aftermarket, learned to comb the drop lists, and even hand registered some names that I later re-sold for thousands of dollars. But then PPCs collapsed, aftermarket sales dried up, and things looked bleak. I had a sneaking suspicion I was missing something. I knew that the domain names I owned should be earning far more income. There had to be a better way.

That’s when I decided to jump head first into Domain Development. After several months of research and trial and error, I came up with a simple, yet powerful process to launch several high quality web sites per week. The income uplift I have experienced is usually 10,000% – 30,000% over parking revenue after a developed name is launched.

And I am finally making more money than when I was still working as an Investment Banker!
